“…When we consider that Ferhat Ozgur is not only an artist who creates his works with different techniques using video, photographp, installation and painting but also is also a curator, writer, translator and professor, this shows that his character cannot be construed according to certain categories. It is not difficult to reckon that these different identities, the positions these identities demand, collide with one another and give rise to concentration, which even he himself cannot inhabit. One can also say that this concentration is his driving force and that this force drives him to produce more and behave under different identities. Eş zamanlı olarak video, fotoğraf, enstelasyon ve resim tekniklerinde çalışmalar üreten Ferhat Özgür’ün, buna paralel olarak, sergi yapımcısı, yazar, çevirmen, öğretim üyesi olarak da etkinliklerini sürdürdüğü düşünüldüğünde, belli kategorilerden hareket edilerek yorumlanamayacak bir karaktere sahip olduğu ortaya çıkıyor. Birbirinden farklı kimlikler ve bu kimliklerin gerektirdiği duruş açıları bir noktada çakışıp Ferhat Özgür’ün kendisinin de önüne geçemediği bir yoğunlaşmaya neden olduğunu tahmin etmek hiç zor değil. Bu yoğunlaşmanın onun çalışmalarının itici gücü olduğunu savlamak, ona daha fazla üretmeye, farklı kimlikler altında tavır almaya ittiğini düşünmek de olası.
